Teleconference
Teleconference may be defined as the live exchange and mass articulation of information among machines and persons remote from one another. The entities are linked by a telecommunication system, usually over the phone line.

In most cases, the telecommunications system is supporting the teleconference by providing one or more of the following video, audio, and/or data services by one or more means, such as telegraph, telephone, teletype, television, and radio.

Teleconferences are also referred to as teleseminars.

Alternative terms for teleconferencing include: telephone conferencing, audio conferencing and phone conferencing.
